In September 1998 Shenyang city launched Shenyang custom tourism festival which were focused on Qing culture tourism week, officially named in 2002 Shenyang Qing Culture International Tourism Festival.
Shenyang as the birthplace of the Qing Dynasty, Qing has a unique history and cultural tourism resources and tourism resources: "a palace of two hills" and the Qing Dynasty Street are renowned in China and foreign. In the 2002 Shenyang Qing Culture International Tourism Festival the activities such as the Royal Ceremonial parade, the Emperor visits, the Manchu court dance and the Shaman Mid-Autumn Festival dance, there were a very strong cultural atmosphere and attracted tens of thousands of tourists.
